Happy Lover’s Month! One of the cool things about traveling is learning a bit of their local language.
It’s amazing how much you can learn about a culture based on how they express themselves.
As Valentine’s Day is approaching, I always wondered how people say I love you. I already knew it in a few languages, but after researching a few; this is how you say I love you in different languages.
French: Je t’aime
Italian: Ti Amo
Croatian: Volim Te
Dutch: Ik Hou Van Jou
Portuguese: Eu te amo
Japanese: Watashi wa, Anata o Aishiteimasu
German: Ich Liebe Dich
Turkish: Seni Seviyorum
Tagalog: Iniibig kita
Hungarian: Szeretlek
Swedish: Jag Alskar Dig
So whether you’re telling your significant other Je t’aime or I love you- you can say it 10 ways this Valentine’s Day. Or every day of the year, as each day should be filled with lots of love from your significant other.
And of course, there’s always the good old fashioned hug and kiss.
Till next time, jag alskar dig.
