Positano

Positano

“Hercules fell in love with a nymph named Amalfi. She died young. Grieving the passing of his beloved and seeking the most beautiful place on earth in which to bury her, he chose Amalfi, naming the spot after her.”

Positano, a picturesque village that clings to the cliffs of Italy’s Amalfi Coast. Known for its colorful houses, winding streets, and breathtaking views, Positano is a dream destination for travelers seeking beauty, history, and relaxation.

The best time to visit Positano is during the late spring (May-June) or early fall (September-October) when the weather is pleasant, and the crowds are smaller. July and August are the peak tourist seasons, with higher prices and more visitors. Although I’ve visited Positano twice now during different months, once in June and recently in August, both months to me were equally beautiful. Yes, August is flocked with many tourists where reservations for restaurants and beach clubs will need to be made in advance.

Indulging in all the pasta you want is more than justified when navigating Positano’s steep inclines. But the real question is, where are the top spots to eat and drink in Positano? I’ve rounded up some of my favorite eateries in the Amalfi Coast where you can soak up the views, enjoy a limoncello and eat your weight through pastas and pizzas.
