BULA FIJI

The Fiji Islands are incredibly breathtaking. This is one of those places you need to visit for a relaxing holiday. My dad was born in Fiji and migrated to the US when he was 17. I’ve visited Fiji twice and I will tell you that I am already planning on going back with Harp.
Fiji is a country like most countries that relies heavily on tourism. The Fijian people are super sweet and very friendly. They will put on a show to make sure you that you enjoy your stay here in Fiji.
Fiji is a HONEYMOON resort vacation. Honestly, with it’s white sandy beaches and crystal clear turquoise waters-it’s definitely HEAVEN.

Things to do in Fiji:
Cloud 9-Cloud 9 is beyond amazing. This is a once in a lifetime experience. I first discovered Cloud 9 on an Instagram page of course where the location wasn’t tagged. I sat around for hours and discovered that it had recently located to the waters of Fiji. If you don’t have time to do anything in Fiji, I recommend that you please make time for Cloud 9. This is a MUST and I highly recommend it.

Cloud 9 basically offers wood fire oven pizzas and they have a full bar on deck. You can choose any type of drink ranging from Fiji Gold to Pina Coladas.
I recommend booking this Cloud 9 excursion in advance as it is becoming fairly popular and becoming sold out. It’s a duration of about 4-5 hours (going there from the Denarau Port and returning to the Denarau Port).

Island Excursion Tour

Fiji has over 300 islands. The major two islands are Viti Levu and Vanua Levu; in which contain most of the population. Viti Levu is home to the capital of Suva and Nadi Airport which is just right outside Denarau.
There are plenty of Island Excursions to do and I highly recommend spending a day on these excursions where you can snorkel, scuba dive or just hang around on the island of the middle of the Pacific Ocean and relax.
We did an island tour to Castaway Island in which we were able to get on to the island, snorkel, swim, relax, experience the white sandy beaches and have a traditional Fijian Luvu lunch. (A luvu is a meal cooked in the ground with fire pits and it is some of the best food you will eat).
The actual tour stops at 2 smaller islands before Castaway for a short period of time. You can snorkel for a bit or you can just relax on the boat and help yourself to a drink.

Castaway Island is where the famous movie with Tom Hanks “Castaway” was made. His friend Wilson and the “HELP ME” sign made out of rocks were present on the island. Both times that I’ve been to Fiji – this has definitely been my favorite island.

WHERE TO STAY IN FIJI:
There are plenty of beach vacations around the world. There are plenty of romantic hotels located right here in Fiji as well. In fact, it may be hard for you to decide where you want to stay in Fiji with all the options.
Marriott Momi Bay– This is obviously my favorite hotel I would recommend to everyone. If you get lucky enough to book an over-the water bungalow then you’re going to have the full on experience. There are only 24 over the water bungalows and honeymooners tend to book them up real fast. If you can’t get an over the water bungalow- don’t worry, there are plenty of Lagoon View Villas and Bure available that you can book.
Momi Bay offers 5 different places where you can dine in at their resort.
- Goji Kitchen & Bar
- Fish Bar
- Lagoon House and Bar
- Lagoon Lounge
- Fiji Baking Company
The swimming pools here are both awesome. The kids pool near the rooms and Goji Kitchen & bar has a swim-up bar with it. However, my favorite was the adults only infinity pool and this is where I stayed most of the duration of our stay here.
The Adults only Infinity Pool is perfect to catch that early morning swim to start your day. Or just to lounge around all day and enjoy the sunset overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

PULLMAN NADI BAY RESORT FIJI– This is a newer hotel that was recently built in 2019. I went in July of 2019, and the hotel had barely been open for 6 months. Pullman is worldwide and is a very elegant hotel. They offer beach excursions where you can paddle board, jet ski or just simply relax by the pools.
Pullman offers 4 restaurants, 3 bars and 3 swimming pools on site. They have a day spa and a 24 hour fitness center located on their site as well.
Intercontinental FIJI– This is a huge hotel. We were here because a close friend of mine had her wedding here and it was so beautiful. I personally didn’t like it here because it was just to big for me. I needed to wait for a hotel shuttle to take me to the side of the resort and etc. The views here are amazing, you’re in close proximity to one of the main beaches- Natadola Beach. There is a ton for you to do here at this resort and beach- you can get massages, horse back riding or simply just rent a cabana and chill by the pool and relax at the beach.

The most beautiful sunsets happen right here in Fiji and Natadola Beach is one of the finest places to see it. And best of all, you don’t even need a filter.

OTHER RESORTS I RECOMMEND IN FIJI:
- Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort
- Savasi Island Resort
- The Remote Resort
- Emaho Sekawa Fiji Luxury Resort
Yasawa Island is a popular island for HONEYMOONERS and for those who just want to be more intimate and away on their own island. I haven’t been to this island but I have heard so many incredible things about this island. This island is on my bucket list for my next trip to Fiji.
HOTELS ON YASAWA ISLAND FIJI:
- Yasawa Island Resort & Spa
- Tokoriki Island – A Sheraton Adults Only Exclusive Resort
Please pack me in your suitcase when you go to Fiji because I’m already dying to go back and have another tropical vacation.
